Friend that smells really bad?
I have this friend that smells really bad. A bunch of people know about it and they people she sits by in class always turn away from her. It is a TERRIBLE smell, like one of they worst smells you will smell. Her hair can also be greasy and sometimes she will were they same t-shirt 2-3 days in a row or the same zip up hoodie 4-5 days in a row. It is a everyday thing too. We try to give her hints all the time such as “I hate it when people in our school don’t shower everyday.” And shes just like “I make sure I shower everyday.” What should we do to tell her, we don’t want to tell her face to face. She isn’t into more “girly” things like bodyspray and perfume so we can’t buy her those. Her family isn’t poor because I have been over to her house, so its not like they can’t afford to clean her clothes or let her take a shower. Would it be ok to put an anonymous note in her locker? What should we do, this has gone on for about 3 years, mabye ever longer and everyone is sick of it.
We had this problem with a guy at work. We told the manager and he lectured him about personal hygiene.
I think its on the mean or rude side to leave a note in her locker and things like that.
Let an adult handle it .
Why dont you discuss the problem seriously & in a very *caring manner*….with your teacher/advisor after class (alone).
Tell her kids are making fun of her (behind her back) and other than the smell, she’s a very nice person and you dont want to see her hurt.
( maybe she isnt nice– I dont know-but say that anyway just for the talk)
Maybe someone on the staff will make a call to her parents…and the parent will do “smell checker” on her each morning.
