WALL MOUNT Q & A

Can any type of wall hold up a TV and a TV wall mount?
My Mom is trying to get rid of clutter and donate her TV console. She plans on getting a wall mount for her tv (32″). We called a family friend who knows how to install TV mounts safely and correctly but we thought about our wall not being strong enough. I’ve taken some nails out of the wall and grain-like texture falls out of the hole so I don’t know if that’s safe for a TV mount. What kind of wall would that be? Would it be safe?
You have to screw the brackets into the studs. They will not hold in the dry wall. If you have a concrete block wall you have to drill holes, with a masonry drill bit. And use anchors to secure the brackets to the wall. All that you need is available at hardware stores. And very inexpensive.
